A Fresh New Look

The entire ASTC staff is tremendously excited about the fresh, new, and inspirational look to ASTC these days. We hope readers ASTC’s print and online materials have noticed that the ASTC logo has taken on a new “flare,” literally! You could say the Association is “ablaze” with new programs and services, and our new logo exemplifies that ASTC energy. We encourage all of our ASTC-member science centers and museums to feature the new ASTC logo prominently in their buildings and on their websites. To update the ASTC logo in your institution, please contact us.

ASTC’s fresh new face is not limited to our logo. We have already had the pleasure of welcoming some of you to our new offices at 818 Connecticut Avenue Northwest, in the heart of Washington, D.C. We hope that many more of you will take time to visit us, in the course of your travels. We aim to make our ASTC headquarters an efficient (and pleasant) venue for our members to meet the ASTC staff and gather the latest information on the Association’s activities, while using our ideal location to conduct business while in the area.

There’s a new look online, as well. The Center for Advancement of Informal Science Education (CAISE) has launched a new and robust InformalScience.org, an online community and collection of informal science, technology, engineering, and math learning projects; evaluation reports; and research resources. Stay tuned, as well, for exciting new changes in ASTC’s main website, which will be reformatted to provide more services with much greater efficiency (and with an even more stylish new look).

Perhaps our greatest challenge as an association is to reflect the same creative energy that is expressed each and every day in ASTC-member science centers, museums, and sustaining member institutions worldwide. Let me convey my thanks on behalf of the ASTC staff for all of the valuable recommendations that we have received from members concerning ways to continuously improve our publications and online services, both substantively and stylistically. We are proud of our programs and services. Now we love our new look as well, and we hope that you do, too!
