About UNESCO

Our partner is the science policy division, which, in 2000, instituted the World Science Day after the UNESCO summit in Budapest decided to renew focus on science communication to the public. The partnership will allow IGLO to be known by research communities and teachers all over the world, even in remote areas where no science centers exist. It will allow participation in the project beyond our own visitor audiences and provide opportunities to address underserved and local communities with the same tools. UNESCO will suggest researchers from developing countries to contribute to the on-line presentation of current research about climate change and the poles. IGLO will organize a demonstration event at the occasion of the WSD 2007 and 2008.
