ASTC and its member museums will open their doors October 4 for a National Conversation on Climate Action, organized in collaboration with the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies and ICLEI-US (Local Governments for Sustainability).
The objective of the National Conversation is to highlight and catalyze local efforts through a national event that builds awareness of the issue and champions community engagement. Conversation events can be adapted and scaled to best meet local needs, ranging from major public events to small stakeholder roundtables.
ASTC is encouraging member museums to organize conversations using IGLO’s special global warming edition of a program called Decide. Used with success among science centers throughout Europe and in other countries, the Decide “game” can serve as a key element of a day of public programming around science-related policy issues.
