Personally identifiable user data
ASTC offers certain online services that require the collection

ASTC may provide information and updates to users of these services.
In some cases, such as e-mail discussion lists, the ASTC Annual
Conference, and ASTC Connect, your information will be available,
online or offline, to other participants in those discussion lists
or events. In addition, we may, with your consent, provide your
contact information to third parties, such as event sponsors.
ASTC is not responsible for any use of personally identifiable

We provide below an overview of information collection practices
of some of our most popular online services. ASTC will not use

or (iii) to protect our Site, our intellectual property, our users,
or the rights of third parties.
1. ISEN-ASTC-L e-mail discussion list
Users may subscribe to the ISEN-ASTC-L e-mail discussion list
by following instructions in the Professional Development section
of this Site. The list collects subscribers' names and e-mail
addresses. Messages posted to ISEN-ASTC-L are archived, and the
list archives are available to any users of this Site. ISEN-ASTC-L
subscribers may unsubscribe at any time. However, once a message
is posted on the discussion list, the message, including your
information, will remain in the list archives.
2. ASTC Connect
If you choose to participate in ASTC Connect, the distance-learning
area of this Site, we require certain personal information, such
as name, institution, and e-mail address. This information is
used by moderators, planners, and evaluators of ASTC Connect in
facilitating and improving ASTC's online professional development
programs. Names, institutions, and e-mail addresses of participants
in ASTC Connect workshops may be shared with other participants
in the same workshop to facilitate networking and communication.
Postings on the ASTC Connect e-mail discussion lists are archived,
and the list archives are available to others enrolled in ASTC
Connect programs. While participants in ASTC Connect discussion
lists may unsubscribe at any time, once a message is posted on
the discussion list, the message, including your information,
will remain in the ASTC Connect archives.
3. Event registration and publications purchases
When you register for an ASTC event or purchase publications through
the ASTC web site, ASTC asks you to provide your name, e-mail
address, billing address, shipping address, telephone number,

This information is required to complete the billing process.
ASTC may contact you regarding your registration or purchase.
ASTC also collects information about your online registration

ASTC uses this information to document your purchase internally
and to bill you. Order information is shared with third parties,
such as your credit card company, and the designated shipper,
in order to fulfill your order. ASTC may also compile and share
aggregate information for statistical purposes, such as to track
purchasing trends. If you indicate on the order or registration
form that you are interested in receiving further information
from ASTC, ASTC may occasionally send you information via e-mail
and/or regular mail about ASTC events, publications, exhibitions,
membership, or other programs or services that we feel may be
of interest to you. In addition, we may, with your consent, provide
