ASTC produces a variety of publications and informational materials, which are available in print and on this website. Although we encourage use and distribution of these materials for the purposes of providing professional development and promoting best practices in the science center field, as well as strengthening the position of science centers within the community, we request that those interested in reproducing materials observe the following guidelines:
- You may make up to 30 printed copies of not more than 3 pages of any ASTC-copyrighted material without charge, providing the copies are for not-for-profit personal or educational use. Proper credit and citations must accompany the copies, and the material must not be not sold or registered for copyright. You are required to list the citation on the first page of each reprint, in standard bibliographical format, followed by this acknowledgment: “For educational purposes only. Copyright © Association of Science and Technology Centers Incorporated,[year of copyright]. All rights reserved. For information contact: ASTC, 2000 Florida Avenue NW, Suite 300, Washington, DC 20009.”
- Permission to copy up to 50 percent of a print publication may be obtained for a fee.
- If you want to use more than 50 percent of a print publication, you must purchase the publication in its original format.
- You may not post, publish, transmit, or disseminate any ASTC material in digital or electronic form by means of the Internet, email, online services, or any other medium, or make more than 30 printed copies, without prior written permission from ASTC.
