More than 1,500 attendees from all over the world are making their way to Toronto for the 2019 ASTC Annual Conference, hosted by the incredible Ontario Science Centre.
Here are just a few of the many highlights coming up during this four-day festival of learning, networking, and sharing: a Saturday morning keynote address by experienced innovator and policy entrepreneur Jenn Gustetic, the ever-popular Saturday Night Party at the science center, the Alan J. Friedman Science Center Dialogues on Sunday, the resource-rich Exhibit Hall on Saturday and Sunday, and Tuesday’s Science in the 6ix (the Ontario Science Centre’s take on Museum Experience Day) and Big Screen Day.
Throughout the conference, nearly 150 concurrent educational sessions and poster presentations will focus on topics including leadership, programming, exhibits, development and member relations, innovations in science and technology, community engagement and outreach, and more. In addition, exceptional opportunities for networking and information sharing include: the ASTC Community of Practice meet-ups, networking breaks events in the Exhibit Hall, an interactive community space, and more. The ASTC Annual Conference will be a remarkable professional development opportunity for the global science center community.
ASTC is grateful to the Ontario Science Centre and all the friendly, helpful staff members for welcoming the ASTC community to Toronto, and to all the conference sponsors who help make this annual gathering possible.
