On February 17, President Barack Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science in Colorado. The museum, powered in part by 465 solar panels on its roof, was chosen as the event site to highlight the administration’s goal of creating new green jobs and opportunities. In his remarks, President Obama emphasized the importance of building a new electric grid that will allow for broader use of alternative energy sources, such as wind and solar power.
