Linda Conlon, chair of ASTC’s board and chief executive of the International Centre for Life, Newcastle upon Tyne, England, was made a Member of the British Empire in Queen Elizabeth II’s New Year Honours List on December 31, 2015. “This is a delightful and unexpected accolade and I am incredibly proud to receive this honor not only for me, but for the Centre for Life and everyone involved with its success,” said Conlon. “It’s my birthday in a few days so this honor is a really wonderful present.”
Anthony (Bud) Rock, president and CEO of ASTC, said, “ASTC is extremely proud of our chair, Linda Conlon, for this tremendous honor. It acknowledges not only her tremendous accomplishments at one of our valued ASTC-member institutions, the Centre for Life, but also her leadership and commitment to the success of our entire field.
