ASTC is pleased to partner with MuseumExpert.org as one way to support the many members of our community who have been hard hit by the pandemic. As we hopefully begin the process of rebuilding our teams, we are glad that MuseumExpert.org is helping to connect experienced museum professionals with employment opportunities within and beyond our field.
MuseumExpert.org offers a searchable database of nearly 1,000 museum professionals who are out of work because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It provides a platform for employers with immediate, long- or short-term staffing needs to connect with experienced experts who are open to contracted work.
Created by a volunteer team of former museum staff in response to unprecedented museum closures and subsequent staff layoffs due to the COVID-19 crisis, MuseumExpert.org is intended to be a unique platform for museum professionals to connect directly with museums, schools, and educational institutions around the world searching for specialists who may be available to help on short-term projects or to fill temporary gaps at a time when full-time positions may not be available.
