Accessibility is Everyone’s Job
ASTC is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible environment for all Annual Conference attendees. We believe everyone should be able to fully participate in our event and are committed to providing an accessible experience.
No one person or solution can address all accessibility needs. The expectation for everyone is to participate in the process of continuous improvement. As an ASTC attendee, a pragmatic place to start includes:
- Uploading your slides in advance (see “Presenter Resources” section below for details)
- Using the microphone when available
- Speaking up if you see an opportunity for something to be more accessible
Accessibility Features of ASTC 2025
- Venue Accessibility: Our conference venue, Moscone Center West, is designed to be fully accessible. Please read more about the Moscone Center’s accessible features here.
- Captioning Services: Live captioning provided by ENCO will be provided for plenaries and keynotes. For additional sessions or materials, please contact us to discuss your needs.
- Accessible Materials: We are committed to providing accessible conference materials through our conference app. This includes digital copies of presentations and handouts in formats such as large print or screen reader-friendly documents.
- Personal Assistance: If you require personal assistance, please reach out to our team, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
- Dietary Accommodations: If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, please let us know in advance. We will work with our catering team to provide suitable options that meet your needs.
How to Request Accommodations
To ensure we can meet your accessibility needs, we encourage you to submit your requests as early as possible. You can do this by:
- Contacting Us Directly: Reach out to our Conference team at sessions@astc.org.
- Indicating Your Needs During Registration: There will be a section in the registration form where you can specify any accommodations you may need.
Feedback and Continuous Improvement
Your feedback is crucial in helping us improve our accessibility efforts. After the conference, we will provide a survey to gather your thoughts on our accessibility support. We are always looking for ways to enhance our services and ensure that our conference is welcoming to all participants.
