LEGO Playful Learning Museum Network

LEGO Playful Learning Museum Network

Play fuels curiosity, sparks creativity, unlocks essential skills, boosts wellbeing and inspires a lifelong journey of learning.

The Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) is proud to serve as the host for the LEGO Playful Learning Museum Network, connecting our members to emergent practices, research, and resources that support museums’ ability to offer quality playful learning experiences to their visitors and local community.

The LEGO Playful Learning Museum Network brings twenty-one children’s museums and science centers from around the country together to make sure more children experience the magic of learning through play both within museum walls and out in communities.

Resources

These Play Kits were designed by members of the network to be used with museum visitors, staff, and community.

Tinkering Play Kit

Tinkering is a form of purposeful play that creatively explores materials and phenomena. This kit includes ideas and activities to integrate tinkering into programs for all ages.

Nature Play Kit

Play is the way young children learn about and learn to love nature. This kit includes ideas and activities for engaging young learners (0-7) and their families in play-based activities related to nature and planetary health.
