We are excited to present two new funding programs designed to support and engage our members as the science center and museum community responds to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. These grant programs are limited to eligible ASTC members in the United States.
Applications for STEM Activities Outreach During COVID-19 Grants due April 24
With generous funding from the Voya Foundation, ASTC will make awards of $5,000 to support 20 ASTC-member museums in developing, enhancing, or adapting STEM-engagement programs and resources for their communities during the pandemic.
Grants will support selected institutions in these areas identified by the funder: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Applications are due by April 24, 2020.
Applications for IF/THEN® Gender Equity Grants due April 30
ASTC will award $1,000– $10,000 grants to 35 ASTC-member museums to support projects highlighting women and gender minorities in STEM through visual representation and/or virtual programming. This grant program includes flexible options to help you reach your community while your museum may be closed to the public, and supports work to update materials, digital assets, and exhibits. ASTC members in the United States are eligible to apply.
Round One Grants allows applications in three categories:
- Visual Representation ($1,000-$10,000)
- Virtual Programming ($1,000-$5,000)
- Visual Representation and Virtual Programming ($1,000-$10,000)
Applications are due by April 30, 2020. There will also be a second round of grants with applications open in November 2020.
