Museums Advocacy Day

ASTC is pleased to join with the American Alliance of Museums (AAM), other partners, and our members in support of Museums Advocacy Day. This annual event offers a unique opportunity for the community to come together to make the case for museums.

Museums Advocacy Day 2026

hosted by American Alliance of Museums

Museums Advocacy Day 2026 will be held February 22–24, 2026.

YOU are the best advocate for science centers and museums. Here’s why you should consider joining us in Washington, D.C. at  Museums Advocacy Day:

  • Your institution serves thousands (in some cases millions) of voters who elect your Members of Congress—and they are asking to hear directly from local organizations about how the Federal government can best serve the needs of their voters.
  • No one can speak more confidently or more directly about the work that your institution doesand how important it is to have government support at every level for that work to enhance the economic opportunity, learning landscape, and community wellbeing in the states and districts represented by Members of Congress.

Participating in Museums Advocacy Day also has direct benefits to you and your institution:

  • Build relationships with your Members of Congress and their staff.
  • Connect with fellow museum advocates from your region and around the country.

You’ll also come away with insights and messages to support your advocacy at every level.
