October 5–7, 2021

To help build the sense of community in a virtual space at ASTC 2021, we hope to see many of your faces and hear your voices by inviting you and your colleagues to record brief videos to be shared during the conference—and beyond. For example, we plan to show videos during plenary sessions, on the conference platform, and on ASTC’s social media channels.

Consistent with this year’s theme of Reflection, Recognition, and Renewal, there are two prompts that we invite you to consider:

  • How did you find support among the ASTC community this year? For example, we encourage you to shout out thanks to other individuals and organizations that inspired you, helped you, collaborated with you, and otherwise supported you as you served your community.
  • What are you most proud of during the past 18 months? How have you made a difference in your community or at your organization? Is there a program, event, exhibit, process, or more that you wish to highlight?*

These are meant to be quick, informal videos, so a professional set-up is certainly not expected; feel free to just record on your phone or webcam! Please kick it off by introducing yourself and your organization. Be creative, but please keep your video brief so we can include as many as possible during the conference. A simple 20-second message is plenty!

And although we hope you’re joining us for ASTC 2021, we invite your submission even if you won’t be at conference!

Please upload files directly to this Dropbox folder no later than September 30, 2021.

*On that note, nominations for the Roy L. Shafer Leading Edge Awards will open soon. These awards honor extraordinary accomplishments within the ASTC community. Stay tuned for details about the nomination process and a virtual ceremony planned for early next year.
