Frances is a longtime advocate for informal science education. Throughout her career, she has worked to help organizations run more smoothly and solve complex operational processes. Frances helped launch the reimagined National Children’s Museum and previously served as an attorney for the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Adam leads ASTC’s communications, policy, advocacy, and member engagement efforts, from making the case for the work of our members and advocating for the importance of public engagement in science to engaging ASTC members across the association’s many communications platforms.


Jamie Durana

Jamie advances ASTC’s communications objectives, provides editorial support on a variety of content, and leads production of the Informer, ASTC’s biweekly member email newsletter.


Wendy Hancock

Senior Manager of Programs and Events

Wendy leads the programming for ASTC’s online and in-person events, coordinates the Annual Conference Program Planning Committee, and manages multiple partnerships that support ASTC members’ program design and delivery for everything from space science activities to teacher professional development.

Jamie provides leadership for CAISE, the resource center that convenes, connects, characterizes, and communicates the portfolio and work of the U.S. National Science Foundation’s Advancing Informal STEM Learning (AISL) program.

Sasha manages CAISE’s work to develop resources and to engage the U.S. National Science Foundation’s Advancing Informal STEM Learning (AISL) principal investigators and project teams, as well as the broader informal science learning community.
