Last week, the Mass Cultural Council announced the recipients of its Cultural Organization Economic Recovery Grant Program. The program is part of Massachusetts’ economic recovery plan in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. In a release, Karyn Polito, Lt. Governor of the state, said “these grants will bring relief to many of our cultural institutions as they face the challenges posed by the pandemic while also planning for a future beyond COVID-19.”
One hundred eighty-three awards for nearly $10 million were made from an applicant pool of 424 nonprofit cultural institutions. Among the recipients are three ASTC member institutions, each of whom was awarded the maximum amount of $100,000 each:
