Another edition of ASTC On Air was streamed live on October 5. We spoke with Nick Ishmael Perkins, director of SciDev.Net. (See the recording below.)
ASTC On Air is a series in which we interview fascinating individuals outside the museum field who are doing work that is relevant and interesting to informal science and museum professionals.
SciDev.Net is a news site covering science and technology as it relates to global development. Before joining SciDev.Net as director in 2012, Nick Ishmael Perkins worked as a journalist and project manager in Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and the Caribbean. He co-founded the consultancy firm Media for Development, and has also held positions with the World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters and the nonprofit Healthlink Worldwide. We spoke with Perkins about the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, how they relate to science, and how the informal education field can support these goals.
